Discretion & Compliance

A position, not a defense.

How IVERIS practices discretion, and how it works with the regulatory environment around it.

On discretion

Discretion is structural, not a courtesy.

Discretion is foundational to IVERIS. Client identities, transaction structures, jurisdictional strategies, methodologies, partner relationships, and institutional pathways are not disclosed publicly under any circumstances — not as case studies, not as testimonials, not as logos in a deck, and not in commentary on the firm’s own work. Counterparties extended access to the ecosystem are treated with the same standard.

In practice this means the firm will sometimes decline to confirm or deny relationships that others would advertise. That is a deliberate position. It is the precondition for the work the firm does, and it is the reason its counterparties choose to work with it.

On compliance

Regulated activity stays with regulated parties.

IVERIS operates as a private strategic advisory firm. It is not a bank, a broker-dealer, an investment manager, a licensed money transmitter, a custodian of client assets, a registered investment adviser, or a securities firm. Where engagements require regulated activity — banking, brokerage, custody, fiduciary administration, legal counsel, tax counsel, or any other regulated discipline — that activity is performed by licensed counterparties under their own authority, and IVERIS coordinates rather than executes it.

Engagements are subject to internal review. Client acceptance is discretionary and may require enhanced due diligence depending on jurisdiction, source of funds, and the nature of the matter. The firm operates in compliance with the laws of the jurisdictions in which it engages, and declines matters where it cannot.

Boundaries

What IVERIS does not do.

To remove ambiguity, the following are not part of IVERIS’s offering:

Investment advice, securities recommendations, or portfolio management.

Banking, payments, or money-transmission services in any jurisdiction.

Custody of client assets, including digital assets.

Legal advice or representation outside engagements coordinated with licensed counsel.

Tax advice outside engagements coordinated with licensed counsel.

Fiduciary services outside engagements coordinated with licensed fiduciaries.

Guarantees of any outcome, including returns, structures, or access.
